Lockdown.... two times a charm

9 months. 15 days.

Today was a wacky day! First off, this morning there was furniture tied together atop the gym. Almost like a senior prank that has been used before. The crazy part was the lockdown. Oh wait, the 2 lockdowns. 5 minutes before the 3rd period bell rang, Mira Costa went on lockdown because of a suspicious event. It wasn't the "full" lockdown, where you close all the shutters and turn off the lights, but more just lock all the doors. The situation was confidential to the teachers, therefore my teacher would not tell us anything. On the way to 4th period, you can hear all the students gossiping about the lockdown and what they think happened. Once we got to 4th period, someone said there were explosives in a backpack near the history building. So that was technically the story. 5 minutes before the lunch bell rang, we were put on "full" lockdown. My teacher flipped out! He ran to the door and went crazy. haha It was actually quite amusing. But we were told that we couldn't leave the classroom until police checked us out. We waited almost a half hour until the police officer and security guard came into our room. Coach Lee yelled to us to sit down, put our backpacks on our laps, and unzip them. It was kinda scary. He even yelled at a kid that was unzipping his backpack too slow. Crazy! Anyways, we left for lunch, which lasted quite a while and all around campus was practically all of the MBPD. Even undercover cops! haha As I entered my 5th period, we learned a majority of the info. There was a suspicious backpack left near the history building with flammable items and matches. The first lockdown was to investigate. After the PD came, they realized that there might be others so they needed to conduct a "full" lockdown to narrow out any other suspicions. Thus, the lockdown day of weirdness.

It's only the 5th day of school and this is what's up.

Just 15 days left.... plus 9 months.
